After what seemed to be about an eternity of soul-searching, kidando.net is now back online. Bigger, hopefully, better but definitely a lot more focused. When I put up the site a couple of years ago, my primary agenda was to speak about digital art and graphics. Sadly that journey came to end before it really started.
Kidando is now focused on his life-long dream which is to be a kick-ass game developer that creates the kind of games you would never want to put down because of the insane level of awesomeness crammed into every copy released.
However, to do this, I learned over time that it would take more than just being technically skilled to become successful in this rapidly growing industry. Or any industry for that matter. I learned that I needed to work on becoming the kind of person that ends up becoming a success story.
There’s a mindset, set of habits, way of life that these people we call successful, possess. So much can be learned from them including how they tackle some of the obstacles that are probably hindering your progress right now. How they deal with stress, fear, limited resources, setbacks, opportunities could all help shape your own journey towards accomplishing your goals.
I’m as hungry for success as anyone else and that is why a good portion of my blog will focus on self-development. I start discussions on topics that relate to strategically improving aspects of your life that could help you get to where you need to be.
The other part of my blog is focused on my craft and the steps I’m taking to complete my games (which are awesome by the way). After releasing my first HTML5 and PC game last year called Nuggets Will Figure It Out, to my surprise the reviews I got convinced me that I knew what I was doing and I had a pretty good idea of what my audience expected.
And with that, I take this opportunity to welcome you to kidando.net. I am truly grateful you took the time to read this introduction. Please feel to leave a comment, suggestion, or question below.
There’s much this life has to offer you and me. One of these offers is success. Don’t let your past hold you back. Your present is full of opportunities even you can create. A future filled with joy and happiness is what we constantly focus on and work towards. This moment marks the first day of the rest of my life.
